South Palm Kids: Your Adventure Begins NOW!
Our mission is to introduce kids and their parents to Christ and help them discover the great adventure that God has for their life.
Our goal at South Palm Kids
To provide fun interactive environments that promote friendship and faith; providing the opportunity for kids to take the first steps of salvation, baptism and discipleship.
South Palm Kids has Two Distinct Environments:
AdventureLand
Our Nursery and Preschool environment called AdventureLand is designed to meet the specific needs of children form birth through kindergarten age.
KidVentures
KidVentures is designed to meet the needs of elementary aged children from first grade through fifth grade.
We meet Sundays during the adult services, so while you are experiencing the creative, life-changing worship of South Palm, your children are also experiencing it in an environment created just for them.
Small Group: Kids start out in a small group broken down by grade where they build friendships as their leaders introduce them to the day’s lesson. Our teaching is centered around a main point and how that can fit into their everyday life. Before small group ends each child chooses their own KidVenture for the week. KidVenture is one of several options they can choose to live out what they learned. After they have chosen their assignment they close in a time of prayer and join with others for large group.
Large Group: Large group is where they participate in that day’s Bible teaching. We use costumes, props, crazy characters, games and technology—anything that makes the Bible come to life and captures the imagination of our kids and speaks to them in their language.
Check in and Pick up Guidelines
Check-In...
- All children attending AdventureLand or KidVentures will check in at the Family Information Station (located near the school cafeteria).
- An adult must check in each child.
- Each child receives a numbered security name tag where the parent signs their name at the bottom of the tag.
- Parent receives a numbered label matching their child’s security tag.
- If the parent is needed during worship their child’s number will be displayed on the video screen in the main auditorium. First time guests fill out a registration form for each of their children.
Pick-Up...
- Parent or Adult is required to have a security tag matching the child’s numbered label.
- The parent presents security label for each child.
- Security dismisses child to parent.
If your security label is missing:
Parent will need to show the security person their Driver’s License to match it with the parents’ signature on the bottom of the child’s name tag.
Volunteer: Every Sunday, volunteers show up and work together in their unique role to create an amazing environment for our kids. South Palm Kids is totally volunteer-fueled and wouldn’t exist without the leadership and expertise of our volunteers. Each volunteer has a part to play on our team.
We’re not sure who gets the most out of it; the kids or our volunteers? One thing we are certain of is that without our volunteers we couldn’t do what we do. Every volunteer is trained and given a background check before serving.
